Perched on the banks of legendary Loch Ness, The Lochside Hostel offers unrivalled views of Scotland’s most famous loch, and direct access to the water's edge! Perfect for walks, monster spotting and even a dip into the magical waters.

As well as our unique location, and lovely facilities we are so easy to get to! All busses from Inverness, Skye and Fort William stop at our door. If you travel by car we make a great base to explore most of the Highlands from Skye to Ullapool to Ben Nevis to Inverness to Aviemore and the rest.

However you travel, you are assured of a great welcome at our delightful hostel.

Our location means that you could come prepared with food to cook [in our extensive self-catering kitchen], though we also sell some food to cook at reception, we also sell beer and wine! And snacks. Breakfast is available from £2, and free tea and coffee all day.

Property and Cancellation Policies :

STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY:

- We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations must be made 48 hours before 10.30 am of the arrival date. Late cancellations and no shows will be charged the equivalent of the first two nights’ accommodation.

- Guests cancelling outside of 48 hours prior to arrival will receive a 90% refund when booked through the Lochside Hostel website.

- If you do not show up on the date you booked for you will be charged according to our cancellation policy and your reservation will be cancelled unless you've notified us directly about your late arrival.

FOR BOOKINGS FOR MORE THAN 6 PEOPLE YOU MUST CONTACT THE HOSTEL DIRECTLY BEFORE YOU MAKE A BOOKING. Be aware that if you book for more than 6 people without our manager's approval your reservation will be cancelled and you will lose your deposit. This includes guests making separate/individual reservations for 6 people or more.

SORRY - ABSOLUTELY NO PARTY GROUPS LIKE STAG OR HEN PARTIES! Accommodation will not be given to these groups and no refund will be given.

ALL GUESTS MUST PROVIDE A GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID OR PASSPORT AT CHECK-IN.

CANCELLATION POLICY. Cancellations must be made 48 hours before 10.30 am of the arrival date. Late cancellations and no shows will be charged the equivalent of the first two nights’ accommodation. CHECK-OUT TIME by 10:30AM, but you can leave your bags and wait around the hostel if you have a later departure.

Sorry but we DO NOT allow dogs on the premises, visitors need to keep dogs in their car as we have free range animals on the grounds. Horses welcome though!
